Zoe Snear DeMatteo passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the age of 89. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, and resided in Belle Chasse, LA, for the past seven years. Beloved wife of the late Sebastian DeMatteo Sr. Mother of Lena A. DeMatteo, Ralph DeMatteo Sr. (Theresa), Sebastian DeMatteo Jr., the late Servio DeMatteo (Lois) and Henry DeMatteo. Grandmother of Vicky (Danny), Edward (Hope), Ralph II (Cherie) and Emma DeMatteo. Great-grandmother of Shannon Hicks, Sebastian DeMatteo, Xavier Nevarez, Shawn DeMatteo, Sheldon DeMatteo, Shelby DeMatteo, Ralph DeMatteo III and Valentino DeMatteo. Sister of the late Florence Snear, Lois Bodenheimer and Joyce Lee. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a loving and amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed. Visitation was held at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, LA, on July 17, 2021, followed by a Funeral Mass in the funeral home’s chapel. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
