Betty-Gail Anderson Hellbach Patureau, daughter of the late Peter E. Anderson Sr. and Yvonne Kirsch Anderson, went to join our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the age of 80. Beloved mother of Myles Arthur (Sonny) Patureau Jr. and the late Harold James Hellbach, Jr. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Captain Harold James Hellbach Sr. USMC, who died serving his country during the Vietnam War in 1967. She is also preceded in death by her second husband, Myles Arthur Patureau Sr., and by her eldest son, Harold James Hellbach, Jr. Loving sister of Judy Anderson Calcagno, Patricia Anderson Grashoff and Peter E. Anderson Jr. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a great-grandniece. Betty-Gail was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Belle Chasse, LA, for the last 16 years living close to her sister Judy and family. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) in Belle Chasse, belonged to the Altar Society and the Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) through the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office. She was an active member of the Financial Divas’ Investment Club and in prior years, was part of the Red Hat Society. She was a graduate of Loyola University in Medical Technology, and St. Joseph Academy. She also held her Master’s degree in Business Administration. During her working years, Betty-Gail was a certified Medical Technologist and worked at Touro Infirmary as head of the Blood Bank. She also worked at Methodist Hospital in New Orleans East prior to its closure and joining Touro. After many great contributions to her profession, she retired at the age of 59. Relatives and friends of the family attended the memorial visitation and mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy. 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Friday, November 12, 2021. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to OLPH in loving memory of Betty-Gail Patureau.
