Timothy S. Satterlee, Sr.

Timothy S. Satterlee, Sr., of Slidell, LA, passed away on August 30, 2021 at the age of 71. He was born on July 6, 1950 in New Orleans, LA, to his loving parents, the late Shirley Belsom Satterlee and Gerard S. Satterlee Sr. Timothy is the beloved husband of 27 years to Sandy Schmidt Satterlee; cherished father of Timothy S. Satterlee Jr. (wife, Joelle) and Jason Satterlee; proud grandfather of Reese Satterlee, Remi Satterlee, and Reilly Satterlee; and caring brother of Gerard S. Satterlee Jr., Agatha Borrouso, Lydia Christen, and Adele Cook. After graduating from Chalmette High School with the Class of 1968, Timothy bravely and proudly served in the United States Air Force, stationed at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chasse, LA. He later was employed with Halter Marine & Bell Halter Marine and retired from Textron Marine & Land Systems. Timothy loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Saints fan and loved anything involving LSU. He treasured the time he spent watching his grandson play football and baseball and watching his granddaughters cheer and dance. He was active in the community, volunteering his time at Pope John Paul II High School and the St. Margaret Mary's Disaster Relief. He was also a member of the Pope John Paul II Field Crew and Pope John Paul II Men's Club. Timothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends attended a visitation and funeral mass on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pope John Paul II High School Gymnasium, 1901 Jaguar Dr., Slidell. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pope John Paul II High School Athletics, 1901 Jaguar Dr., Slidell, LA 70461, or St. Margaret Mary Men's Club Disaster Relief, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 are preferred.
