Jean Marie Giovengo Griffin entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2021 at the age of 89. Beloved mother of Donna Boudreaux (Mike Sr.), Diana Fincher (Dean), Denise Dixon (Steve), and the late Donald Griffin, Jr. (Frieda). Grandmother of Mike Boudreaux, Jr. (Brandy), Kyle Boudreaux (Heather), Heidi Mince (Paul), Chad Griffin (Jessica), Stephanie Lambert (Josh), Jonathan Dixon (Monique), Melissa Douglas (Robert), Donald "Boo" Griffin, Jr. (Holly), Tina Reed (Allen), Amber Guillot (Jeremy), and the late Matti Dominick. Also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Daughter of the late Anna Baumy Giovengo and Martin J. Giovengo, Sr. Sister of the late Claire Giovengo, Richard Giovengo, Martin Giovengo, Jr., Robert Giovengo, Joseph Giovengo, John Giovengo, Doris Giovengo, Anna LaPorte, and Loraine Giovengo. Former wife of the late Donald J. Griffin, Sr. A native of New Orleans and resident of Marrero, LA. Jean worked for 34 years for DiSalvo Packing Co. in Belle Chasse, LA. She always put family first, was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, decorating for the holidays and shopping. She will be deeply missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family attended the visitation and funeral service in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
