Louis “Brim” Bradley, Sr.
Louis “Brim” Bradley, Sr. departed this life peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at his home in Oakville LA, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 93. He was a Native and lifelong resident of Oakville, La. Mr. Bradley was a retired production operator for Chevron U.S.A. with over 37 years of service. He was also a proud United States Army Veteran having fought in World War II. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal, The Bronze Service Medal and in 2015 was awarded the French Legion Of Honor Medal. Son of the late Milton and Melvina McGinnis Bradley. Beloved husband of Mildred Sanders Bradley. Devoted father of Louis Bradley Jr., Melvina Bradley (Charles) Johnson, Mable Bradley (Calvin Sr.) Ogden, Gregory Bradley, Anthony Bradley, Eric Milton Bradley, Rosalind Bradley (Frank III) Smith, Glynda Bradley, Roland (Linda) Bradley, Byron Bradley Sr., Stephanie Bradley (Wendell) Watts and Ericka Bradley (Troy) Martin Brother of the late James Clarence Bradley Sr., Harold Bradley Sr. and Joseph Bradley. Deceased also survived by 33 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. Relatives and friends of the family attended the visitation and funeral service on Monday July 23, 2018, at the Oakville Missionary Baptist Church located at 100 West Oakville St, Oakville, LA 70037. Bishop Wilfret Johnson offi cated. Entombment followed in Oakville Cemetery in Oakville, LA.
