Randolph "Red" J. Olano Jr. passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the age of 98. Beloved husband of the late Mary F. Olano for 53 years. Father of Darleen O. Marks (Byron). Son of the late Lovine and Randolph J. Olano Sr. Brother of the late Harold Olano, Gladys O. Zar, and Dimples Joyce O. Longino. Grandfather of Patrick L. Marks Jr. (Marie) and Kristy M. Amedee (Joe Paul). Great-grandfather of Ethan Marks, Liam Marks, Beckham Marks, Quin Amedee, Payton Amedee, Juliette Amedee and Aubree Amedee. He was a member of American Legion Post 329 and VFW Post 6706 of Belle Chasse, the Belle Chasse and Lake Hermitage Volunteer Fire Department, Belle Chasse Ambulance Service, member and past Chief of the Krewe of Choctaw and Alla. He was an Army World War II Veteran in the 3rd Armored Division and recipient of the French Medal of Honor. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, December 31, 2021.
