Christopher Gene Williams, Sr., passed away on May 26, 2024 in Emerson, Ar., at the age of 55. He was born on January 20, 1969 in Port Sulphur, La., to Betty Fisher Newman and the late Harold Gene Williams. He was a resident of Buras, La., until 2005, relocating to Haynesville, La., due to Hurricane Katrina. For the last two years of his life he, resided in Emerson. Chris is survived by his children, Courtney Williams Erfle (Jeremiah), Christopher Williams, Jr. (Margo), and Katie Williams. Mother, Betty Fisher Newman and siblings Tracey Williams, Angela Reddoch (Corbett), Aaron Williams and stepbrother Chad Newman (Leann).
Grandchildren Madelynn and McKenna Erfle. Numerous nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is proceeded in death by his father, Harold Gene Williams, and stepfather, Gerald “Bippy” Newman. Chris spent most of his life working as a crane operator and auto mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars, watching movies, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved fishing and being out on the water. He especially enjoyed spending his Sunday’s watching Power Nation, Motor Trend and any other car show he could find. Family and friends attended the Memorial Visitation and Services at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., in Harvey, La., on Friday, June 7, 2024.
