Louisiana Shrimp Drying to be discussed at Feb. 4 Historical Meeting
Manila Village, the most famous of Louisiana's shrimp drying communities, was located near the Plaquemines- Jefferson Parish line in Barataria Bay, close to Myrtle Grove.
Noted local Asian-American Historian, Winston Ho, with the Historic New Orleans Collection; will be guest speaker at the Plaquemines Parish Historical Association meeting o be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4 . Mr. Ho will discuss on “Shrimp Drying in Louisiana.'
