    Every fall in Plaquemines Parish, one football game carries more weight than any other: the “Battle of the Boot” between Belle Chasse High School and South Plaquemines High School. More than just a match-up on the gridiron, the rivalry stands as a living symbol of resilience, recovery, and community pride in the years following the historically devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
