THE FORGOTTEN KITCHEN

I succumbed to the siren call of Haight Ashbury in San Francisco in 1969. I wanted to eat food that had not been processed and live in peace and harmony with nature. I have no idea if we actually ever accomplished that goal. But it inspired many back-to-the-land movements in pockets all over the country. The Moosewood Restaurant was a part of this movement, opening in 1973 in Ithaca, New York. ...
