Albert George Ragas

Albert George Ragas, a lifelong resident of Buras, Louisiana, entered into eternal life on June 11, 2026, at the age of 54. He was born on December 10, 1971. Albert was a lifelong commercial fisherman. He enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid gardener with a very “green thumb.” He also enjoyed playing his drums, fishing, hunting, crawfishing, barbequing, and hanging out with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald A. “Jerry” Ragas and Doreen B. Ragas, formerly of Norwich, England, his paternal grandparents, George B. and Pearl T. Ragas, maternal grandparents Albert and Mildred Bates. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife, April R. Ragas, his siblings Richard (the late Rhonda) Ragas, Geraldine (Pat) Bowers, Gwendolyn (Scott) Rolen, nieces Brecklyn B. (Jeremy) Sanzin, Doreen R. (Craig) Sterling, nephews P.J. (Jessica) Bowers, Anthony (Renee) Bowers, Gavin (Sylvia) Rolen, great nephews, great nieces and his mother-in-law, Susan (Larry) Donnaud, as well as an aunt, numerous cousins, friends and his sweet canine “Daddy’s little girl,”, LaRoux. The family would like to thank his homehealth nurse, Taylor for her excellent compassion and care. Burial will be private, as will a Celebration of Life at a later date.
