Barbara Ann Demandre Hoots passed away on September 4, 2021 at Ochsner Hospital I.C.U. after a long battle to survive. Barbara was 76 years old and was survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Russell Hoots, two children, Jena Hoots Vogt and Kevin Russell Hoots; son- in-law, Michael J. Vogt and daughter-in-law, Raynelle Miller Hoots. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Kristina Norwood, Ashlie Vogt Bourgeois, Devin Ann Vogt Thompson, Kadin Jakob Hoots and Savana R. Hoots. She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Zoie Norwood, Mia Norwood and Isabella Raine Bourgeois. Barbara was also looking forward to meeting her first great grandson, Dean Russell Thompson due in November from Devin Ann Vogt Thompson. She was the kindest person I have ever known and she was my best friend, not just my Mom. She is now an angel watching over us and she will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA.
