Bobbie Gayle Robertson Genovese, born on October 27, 1945, age 80, returned home to the loving arms of her parents, Robert Robertson and Mary Campo Robertson, her sister, Patricia Ann Robertson, and her husband, Nicholas A. Genovese, Jr., on Monday, August 10, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Mary Genovese Boudreaux and son-inlaw Stephen Boudreaux, son Nicholas Genovese, III, and five grandchildren, Catherine Boudreaux, Olivia Boudreaux, Giovanni Genovese, Alexandra Genovese, and Sophia Genovese. Bobbie spent her life caring for others. She was famous for her hand-decorated “Bobbie Cakes,” artwork, and love of Elvis and LSU. She retired from LSU School of Nursing after a long career of supporting the Dean to stay home and take care of her beloved grandchildren. In her free time, she loved decorating the altar at Saint Anthony Church and hosting parties, especially when they involved her preparing big meals for friends and family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will be said at 11:00 AM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association.
