Carlos J. Clouatre

Carlos J. Clouatre departed this life on Sunday, December 12, 2021, in Belle Chasse, LA, at the age of 80. Carlos was a native of New Orleans, LA, and was a longtime resident of Arabi, LA. Carlos was retired employee with Elliot Group and was a former employee of Gulf Engineering. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to the Fairgrounds to watch the horses run. Loving husband of 54 years to the late Faith Adragna Clouatre of Arabi, LA. Devoted father of Jodi LaFrance Rome (Roland), Shelli LaFrance Gifford (Walter), Garilyn Walker Bailey (Brett), and Karen Clouatre McLin (James). Grandfather of Malynda Rome LeBlanc (Brent), Macy Rome, Nicholas Moore, Matthew Moore, Anthony McLin, Andrew McLin, Alexandria Bailey, and Cole Bailey. Great-grandfather of Layla Fernandez and Finn Pilipovich. Son of the late Clarence J. Clouatre Sr. and Lillian Dufrene Clouatre. Brother of the late Clarence Jr., Phillip, Frank, Chester, Larry, Michael, and Leroy Clouatre, Rita Clouatre Chaisson, and Lillian Clouatre, also survived by numerous family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, and neighboring churches were invited to attend the Visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, followed by a memorial service.
