Delores Branch Green affectionately known as "Dee" departed this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 92. She was a native of Oakville, LA, and the mother of Greater St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church of Oakville. Delores was affectionately called "Maw-Maw" by her children and grandchildren; She was always giving advice on life and encouraging her children to stay together and love one another no matter what. She even continued to teach her daughters how to cook at an older age which resulted in a Recipe Book. She was a very shy person but would let you know exactly what she was thinking. Her funny personality kept a smile on people faces. Everyone who came in contact with our Precious Jewel fell in love with her. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed watching her favorite television shows; Law & Order, Hawaii Five O, Blue Blood and Chicago Fire. She especially loved the company of her family every Sunday at Momma's house. Delores worked at Willow Wood and Metropolitan State School until her retirement. She was definitely a lover of plants. Beloved mother of Lorraine Green (Ernie), Gail Johnson, Amos Green Jr. (Victoria), Michael Green (Charlie), Shelia Eugene (Michael) and Adrel Green (Robert). Grandmother of Brenda, Steven Amos, Daynell, Cynthoria, Shawn, Jasmine, Michael Jr., Maurice, and Lawrence Jr. Great-grandmother of Tremaine, Javante' Domani and Jersi. Godmother of Henry Green Jr. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Rev. Amos Green Sr., her sister Celestine Green, and her parents Florence and Joseph Branch, her grandparents Horce and Celestine Johnson, uncles Charlie, Horace, Percy, Oscar, Eckard and Joseph.
