Derrick "Doo" Lee Lafrance Jr., a native of Violet, LA, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at the age of 24. Derrick was the only child born to the late Rhoenisa Lafrance. He is survived by his father, Derrick, and stepmother, Michelle Lafrance. Derrick was later reared by Stacey and Archie Augustus. Also survived by his son, Kingston Jones. Derrick was deeply loved and will truly be missed by his grandmothers, Janice Washington and Antoinette Lafrance, and brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his mother, Derrick was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry Lafrance, Harry and Elme Espadron. Derrick was baptized at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center by Bishop Henry Ballard, was a proud graduate of Christ First Christian Academy and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Pastor, officers and members of surrounding churches; Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. All were invited to attend a drive through viewing at Charbonnet Family Services in Violet, LA, on Friday, October 22, 2021. A celebration service honoring the life of the late Derrick "Doo" Lee Lafrance was held at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center in Violet, LA, on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
