Gail Rita Wallace, a resident of Jesuit Bend, LA, peacefully transitioned to her eternal reward in her sleep on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the age of 75. She was born on June 22, 1946, to Carmen Sanders Wallace and Matthew Wallace Sr. in New Orleans, LA. Gail graduated from Katie's Beauty College and received a degree in Cosmetology. She was self-employed. Before retiring Gail also worked at Meadowcrest Living Center, A&G Cafeteria and Belle Chasse Middle School. She took care of her mother, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Left to cherish her memories, her daughter Antoinette and son Sean (Venio) Wallace, her grandchildren Joshua (Laura) Tonyatta, Carmen, Sadijah, Abraham, Paul and eight great-grandchildren. Her siblings Stanley (Neice) Carmen, Matthew (Terry), Anthony (Odelia) and her aunt Theresa (Raymond). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins' other relatives and devoted friends. Gail was preceded in death by her mother Carmen, father Matthew, grandparents, Rita Dobard Sanders, Arnolie Sanders, Alexander Wallace, Sarah Brooks Wallace, daughter Susan Wallace-Hunter, sister June Marie Wallace Price McCarty and brother Bruce Wallace. Relatives and friends of the family attended a visitation at Robinson Family Funeral Home in Belle Chasse, LA, followed by a graveside service at Dobard Cemetery held on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
