Rita Ragas Brooks passed away peacefully at West Jefferson Medical Center on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the age of 79. She was a native of Port Sulphur, La., and a resident of New Orleans, La. Rita was a 1962 graduate of Sunrise High School. She was employed for many years with Hancock Fabrics as a cashier and assistant manager.
