BCPS Honors TERRIFIC Kids for November

On Thursday, November 13th, Belle Chasse Primary School honored our November TERRIFIC Kids. Thank you to Chevron Oronite, Stolthaven Terminals, and the Kiwanis of Plaquemines for sponsoring and making this program possible.

BVES November Students of the Month

The following students were named November Student of the Month for meeting the School Wide Behavior Expectations~ Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe all month long, a presentation was made in their honor on November 18, 2025 in the school's gym.

Belle Chasse Primary Highlights Rising Star: Avery Spiritus

First grade and six year old student Avery Spiritus from Belle Chasse Primary School recently earned a spot in Plaquemines Parish School Board's Talented Music Program. The young and talented musician is excited for this new chapter.

City Park’s Holiday Carousel to Showcase Locally Inspired Wreath Design

Garden clubs of the New Orleans area were asked to submit a decorated wreath for the City Park’s holiday Carousel. The theme, “Mr. Bingle’s Favorite Places.” The Belle Chasse Garden Club’s submission was created by Kathy Johnson -“Mr. Bingle Loves the Orange Fest”.

Chevron Oronite Donation Dedicated to Public Safety in Plaquemines Parish

Chevron Oronite Oak Point recently made a monetary donation to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office (PPSO) that was dedicated to the purchase of four handheld radar guns.After delivery, Robbie Robinson, Oak Point Corporate Affairs Representative, presented Sheriff Gerald “Jerry” Turlich Jr.

The Ansardi Group is excited to kick off its annual Christmas Toy Drive, running now through December 12th, to help bring extra holiday joy to children in need within the Plaquemines community. They are collecting new, unwrapped toys for boys ages 4–6, 9, and 13 and girls ages 3–8 and 16.
