Back at the June 25, 2026 Plaquemines Parish council meeting, the council unanimously approved a resolution calling for a sales tax rededication to be placed on the November 3 election ballot. If approved by a vote of the people, the proposal would take 30 percent of the revenues collected through the Fire Department “sales and use tax” and dedicate it to the EMS Department.
