Notice of Potential Changes to Eligible Area Maps for USDA Rural Development Housing Programs

USDA Rural Development is conducting a review of all areas under its jurisdiction to identify areas that no longer qualify as rural for housing programs. _e last rural area reviews were performed in 2017-2018 using 2015 American Community Survey (ACS) data. Rural area designations are reviewed every e years. _is review will utilize the 2020 United States decennial census data.

Bad Wolf in Belle Chasse Hosting Fundraiser for Five Year Old with Pulmonary Atresia

Bad Wolf Restaurant and Game Shop, 1454 Woodland Hwy, Belle Chasse, is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in support of Cain Cochran. Cain is a e-year-old Slidell native that is currently on the waiting list for a new heart. He was born with Pulmonary Atresia, a rare birth defect of the heart where the valve that controls blood _ow from the heart to the lungs doesn’t form at all. Cain has undergone multiple surgeries in his short life and will remain in the hospital until a heart is available for him.
