Richard Oldham Sr.

Richard Oldham Sr., age 71, of Buras, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. Born on January 24, 1955, Richard lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose kindness, strength, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. Richard spent his entire career working offshore in the oil fields, where he earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family. He took great pride in his work and in the life he built through years of dedication and sacrifice. An avid outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing and treasured every opportunity to spend time outdoors with family and friends. Some of his happiest moments were spent creating memories with those he loved most. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Oldham; his daughter, Melissa Oldham; his father, Billy Hunt Oldham Sr.; his mother, Mildred Oldham; and his brothers, James 'Jimmy' Roy Oldham and Billy Hunt Oldham Jr. He is survived by his son, Richard Oldham Jr.; his daughter, Stacey Page Punch; his grandchildren, Gavin Oldham, Glenn Page, and Alissa Perez; his great-grandchildren, Caroline Oldham and Weston Oldham; his sisters, Debra Donathan and Mary Roberts; and numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Richard's legacy is one of hard work, loyalty, integrity, and devotion to family. He believed in providing for those he loved and living life with determination and purpose. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory and the values he instilled will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, support, and kindness shown during this difficult time. As they celebrate Richard's life and honor his memory, they find comfort in the many treasured memories he leaves behind. Richard Oldham Sr. will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
