June Ann Greiner Brunet

June Ann Greiner Brunet, a native of Port Sulphur, and resident of Gretna, LA for the past 53 years, departed this life on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the age of 75. Daughter of the late Eunice Jacomine Greiner and Harry Greiner. She attended Port Sulphur High School, Class of 1967. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Maurice Brunet, her children: David Brunet (wife, Tracy), Cathy Brunet Smith (husband, John); her grandchildren: Melissa (husband, Charlie), Danielle, Natalie, and Matthew, and her great-grandson Kane. She is also survived by her sister, Adele Greiner Gallet, (husband, Ray “C.C.”), nephew, Neil, and niece, Felicia (husband, Shannon). After graduation, she worked for Freeport Sulphur Company until she married. She owned and operated The Alteration Center in Gretna for over 30 years until she retired. June enjoyed traveling with her husband to visit family and friends. She fought a good fight against Lewy Body Dementia over the last several years. The family would like to thank the staff of Serenity Hospice for their wonderful care during her illness. She passed peacefully at her home holding her husband's hand. Family and Friends are invited to a “Celebration of Life” to be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 566 Avenue D, Marrero, LA 70072.
