On Tuesday, January 21 residents throughout Plaquemines Parish—and coastal Louisiana in general—woke up to well-below freezing temperatures and mounds of snow covering their yards, roads, homes, and cars.

Belle Chasse Accident Causes Power Outage, Busts Water Line

In the early morning of Monday, January 20, an accident by Belle Chasse High School saw a vehicle crash into an electrical pole and fire hydrant near the Belle Chasse Methodist Church on Louisiana Highway 23. This caused a power outage and lowered water pressure in parts of Belle Chasse.
