Nedjeljko “Nedo” Seput, Sr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born in Donja Vru c ica, Croatia, and traveled to Plaquemines Parish in 1972 to become a lifelong oyster fisherman. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was the beloved father of Nedjeljko Seput, Jr. (Shannon), Christopher Seput (Angela), and Tony Seput (Tiffany). He was the son of the late Andjelka and Ante Seput and brother of Kate Zupanovic (Goimir). He was a proud grandfather to Casey, Riley, Aubrey, Luka, Harper, and Harlow, and was also an uncle to Nensi (Ivan) and Anthony (Lindsey). He found joy in the simple things in life, especially fishing trips and cooking whenever he had the chance. He cherished the time spent with his family and created memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Though his passing leaves great sadness in the hearts of his loved ones, his life, love, and memories will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. The Seput family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the LCMC Oncology and Ochsner Neurological Departments, along with the staff of Riverbend Nursing Home, for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8928 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA, on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
