On Friday September 6, 2024, 'Pete' left this earth to be reunited with his longtime companion, Gertha Mae Duplessis; at the age of 85. He was born on Sept 13, 1939 in New Orleans, La., to the late Rev. Isaiah and Viney Burl Peterson. Survivors include his daughters, Denise and Shalonda Duplessis; son, Michael Duplessis, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. Relatives and friends of the family attended the Visitation and Celebration Service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Celestan 'Pete' Peterson on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Charbonnet Family Services, 4917 E. Judge Perez Dr., in Violet, La. Interment: English Turn Cemetery, Braithwaite, La. Visitation 10 am in the chapel. Final arrangements entrusted to Charbonnet Family Services.
