John Dwight Riley, III

John Dwight Riley, III, entered to eternal rest on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the age of 44. John was a native of Pointe à la Hache, La., and a resident of Gonzales, La. He was a graduate of John Ehret High School, Marrero, La., and the University of Holy Cross, New Orleans, La. John served in the United States Air Force and the United States National Guard. He was employed as an Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialist at Boeing Defense and Space MAF in New Orleans. But most importantly, John was an ordained Minister of the Gospel. Beloved husband of Kristin Gauff Riley; father of John D. (Davially) Riley IV, Jordan, Jace, Kaci, and Karli Riley. Son of John D. (Marsha) Riley, Jr. and Cheryl Hill Riley. Grandson of the late John D. Riley, Sr. and the late Addie Henry Riley; the late Earl Hill, Jr. and Pearl Hill. Brother of Keinthrion Riley, Treavor (Tanya) Riley, Johntreal and Jasmine Riley, and Gabriel Thomas. Nephew of Johnetta (Roosevelt) Jarrell, Samuel Riley, Almena (Errol) Trufant, Amelia Riley Chaisson, Cynthia (Clarence) Brocks, Catherine Turner, Onethia (Akida) Maxwell, Rudy Hill and Patricia Hill. Son-in-law of Wanda E. Gauff; brother-in-law of Jermaine and Wyndi Gauff. Godfather of Autumn Rose Costa. John is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
