Alicia Juanita Bartholomew, a beautiful baby girl, was born on July 5, 1961 to August and Bernice Bartholomew in Buras, La. As the only daughter of 8 children, she brought an abundance of joy, love and purpose that forever changed her family from the moment she arrived. Alicia was the cornerstone of her family and had a heart full of love for her three children, Mervin Barthelemy, Herschel Barthelemy Sr. and Angela Barthelemy. The Lord called her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Katy, Texas, saying to her 'It's time my child to come to your Home on High.' We take comfort in knowing Alicia left the world with the knowledge that her impact on all of us was meaningful and enduring. Our debt to her is beyond measure and she will be missed. She was a member of Mystery of God's Fellowship Church in Katy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tommy Barthelemy, and grandsons Mervin Magee and Karde' Dobard. She leaves to cherish her memories her children Mervin Barthelemy, Herschel Barthelemy Sr., Angela Barthelemy, Tamerrol Johnson, Benett Roy, Orella Phillips, Natasha Barthelemy, Ron-Kal Riley and Candecia Barthelemy; her brothers, August Jr., Rodney Sr., Timothy Sr. (Melanie), Darren Sr. (Debbie), Sterling Sr. (Theresa) and Dean; sisters and closets friends, Melissa, Dara, Anita and Sherryl; her godchildren, James Phillips, Kahisha Magee, Naime Brooks, and Lyric Turner; 24 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
