Bevelyn Riley Williams

Bevelyn Riley Williams departed this life peacefully at her home in Port Sulphur, La., on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the age of 79. She was born in Bohemia, La., on December 13, 1944 to the union of the late Sidney Herman Riley and Gustavia Parker Riley. She is the stepdaughter of Ella Ragas Riley. Beloved mother of Gustavia Webber (Kenneth deceased), Sabrina Johnson (Marcus), Lynwood Ducro (Jennifer), Toki Ducro and Sidney Ducro. Sister of Renell Riley (Mary), Reshell Riley (Wayne), Wayne Michael Ragas (Tanya), and the late Connie Ragas, Anna Mae, Herman, Clark, Jackie, and Rodney Riley. 

Sister-in-law of Nearnice Riley. Bevelyn is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. She was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish where she raised her five children. In her younger years she enjoyed playing cards, working as a cook and later as a licensed day care provider and cosmetologist. To know Bevelyn was to love her. She had a unique way with words and an extraordinary vocabulary. She meant what she said and said exactly what she meant. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandsons Roshawn Ducro and Adrian Barthelemy.
