Mollie Gasquet Galmiche entered eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Donovan “Donnie” Galmiche for 25 years. Daughter of the late Charlotte “Lottie” Gasquet and Louis Gasquet. Loving mother of LJ Galmiche (Jshonda) and DonnaRaye Cognevich (Greg). Devoted Grandmother of Brittney Cognevich, Jonathan Cognevich and Great Grandmother of Jaxson Cognevich. Mollie is the sister of Mae Ellen Galmiche (late Robert), Mary Gros, Charlotte Galmiche (Late Timothy), Gwen Gasquet, Christine Beauvais (Patrick Beauvais) and the late Virginia Waguespack (the late Cyrus), Rebecca Gasquet, Rosalyn Melton (Late James), Betty Holmes (Late Eugene), Patricia Chouest (Late Keith), David Gasquet (Late Joann) and Billie Gasquet. Mollie is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born in Boothville, Louisiana and was currently a resident of Buras, Louisiana. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO and cards with family and friends as well as making and painting ceramics. Her current hobbies included watching the Saints (her favorite team and her favorite quarterback, Drew Brees), gardening and working in her flower beds, crocheting and spending time with her family friends and especially her dog “Buddy”, who stayed with her until the end. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Monday, August 24, 2026, beginning at 11AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras, Louisiana.
