Paul J. LeBoeuf

Paul J. LeBoeuf, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025 at the age of 96. He was born on November 9, 1928 in Galliano, LA, was a former resident of Buras, LA and most recently of Belle Chasse, LA. Beloved husband of 76 years to Doris Barrios LeBoeuf. Father of Kenneth J. LeBoeuf (Lily), Carolyn LeBoeuf Barrois (Godfrey), and the late Perry P. LeBoeuf (Eugenie). Grandfather of Kenny LeBoeuf (Amy), Kelly Barrois Nicotri (Eric), Katherina LeBoeuf, and Paul Barrois (Giesele). Great-grandfather of Kyle Barrois (Chelsey), Daniel Badger (Kasidy), Stephen Badger (Sadie), Brennan Barrois, and Kaitlyn LeBoeuf. Great-great-grandfather of Westlyn Stewart, Isla Barrois, Emmett Barrois, and Sterling Badger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Artemise Eymard LeBoeuf and Caliste Joseph LeBoeuf; and siblings, Artelise Lafont, Leroy (Jack) LeBoeuf, Janavee Pitre, and Donald LeBoeuf. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Paul led and incredibly rich and varied life, full of both adventure and a passion for learning. His journey, from dropping out of school to becoming a successful businessman in the tugboat industry, shows resilience and drive. He had an ability to seamlessly blend his professional life with his personal passions. His work with wood and boats, his love for history, and his role as an educator in the maritime world speak to his deep commitment to craftsmanship and sharing his knowledge. He integrated family into his work and passions – teaching apprentices, building boats for family trips, and making sure his grandchildren had access to technology early on. His travels with his beloved Doris and his love of community activities like the Madisonville wooden boat show also show a man who valued both the tangible skills he honed and the experiences that shaped him. His life and legacy was celebrated at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, February 17, 2025 with a Memorial Gathering, followed by a Mass in the funeral home chapel.
