Ms. Marion Eloise Jackson transitioned to her heavenly home in Belle Chasse, La., on Monday, June 17, 2024 at the age of 88. She was born in Woodville, Ms., on March 30, 1936 to the late Calvinaugh Jackson and Alma Harris. She attended and graduated from Johnson High school in Mississippi. After high school Marion relocated to New Orleans, La., in 1955 and became a long-time resident and settled in what was her corner of peace and tranquility. Loving and dedicated mother to Philip (Rena' L.) Jackson; cherished sister of Gloria J. Smith and the late Bruce, Andrew, John, Anna Liza, and Lydia; beloved Grandmother to Philip K., Ondrel Y., and the late Calvin J. Jackson. Bonus Grandmother to Daryl Blackmon and Stacie Washington. Bonus Great-Grandmother to Laila, and Jase Washington and Tiffany Blackmon. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marion was a devoted Christian and faithful servant of God. Relatives and friends of the family, pastor, officers, and members of Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches attended the Celebration of Life Service for Marion Eloise Jackson, where Rev. Keith Mackey was the Pastor/ Officiating Minister; at Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1809 Governor Nicholls St., New Orleans, La., on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
