Charles “Chuck” E. Cochran passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Slidell, La., at the age of 75. Chuck was born February 14, 1949, in Atlanta, Ga., to James and Agnes Cochran. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school graduation and while stationed in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, he met the love of his life, Loretta Ledet. The two were married in 1970. After his retirement from the Navy, the couple moved to Slidell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loretta Cochran; two children, Michelle Zeringue (Michael), James Cochran (Cynthia); grandchildren, Brittany Casto (Cody Brinson), Brynn Zeringue; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Bermudez, Skyler Brinson, Simba Brinson, Carter Brinson, Camden Brinson; and a sister, Nadra Cochran (Alberta Vellone). Relatives and friends of the family attended a Visitation and Funeral Service on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd W., in Slidell La. Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, La.
