James Bentley passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, in Louisville Kentucky at the age of 81. He was an Army Veteran and a retired mechanic for the Louisville Fire Dept Shop. He was preceded in death by his children David and Dawn Bentley and his siblings Leo, Leona, Beverly, Betty, Sandra, Cynthia and Linda. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Lisa Bentley, James O. Bentley (Lamika), Keith Napier (Holly), and Shonetta Lewis; his siblings, Sidney Bentley (Audrey), Diane Bienemy (Rudy), Brenda Henry (Leo) and Pamela Bentley; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family attended the funeral services on Friday, January 3, 2025, at St. John Baptist Church located at 136 St. John Lane, Phoenix. Pastor Romell E.
