Manuel John Treadway Jr. was born on June 19, 1948, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the age of 76. Manuel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Connie Ricks Treadway. Father of Kim Ann Treadway and Kurt John Treadway (Amanda). Brother of Linda Leonard (Wayne) and Becky Buras (Mark). Sonin- law of Clarisse Ricks. Brother-in-law of Paul Ricks, James Ricks (Paula) and Mandy Wise (Aaron). Grandfather of Donae Mackey, Donisha Mackey, Drea Shaw (Denzel), Brennan Treadway (Jamie) and Caden Treadway (Jada). Great Grandfather to Tamaj Mackey, Ja’Mai McNeal, D’Angelo Johnson Jr., Danika Mackey and Kimanii, Kaprii, Krewh, Koii, Averi and Kallyn Treadway and numerous nieces and nephews. In death proceeded by his father Manuel J. Treadway Sr., his mother, Velma Despaux Treadway, his father- in-law, James P. Ricks, brother-in-law, Van A. Ricks and one granddaughter Dionne Mackey. Manuel known to many as “Pod”, “MJ” or “Boss Hogg retired from Plaquemines Parish Government since 2004 as Superintendent – Solid Waste South. Funeral Services werebe on Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Port Sulphur, LA. Interment followed at St. Patrick Cemetery.
