David Lee Sneathern entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2024 in Belle Chasse, La. Born on May 25, 1962, in Marshall, Ark. David devoted 27 years of his professional life to Offshore Shipyard. His commitment to his job was matched only by his love for his family. David enjoyed hunting and fishing; however, his most cherished moments were spent with his family. He is survived by his father, TC Sneathern (Ann); his sisters, Helen Burlette (Tom), and Carrol Moss (Wayne); his son, David Sneathern Jr. (Heather), along with their children, Lindsey, Channing, Isaac, David III, and Abigail; his daughter Christina Sneathern, her children, Makayla and Kaleb; and daughter Katie Sneathern. Additionally, David is remembered fondly by many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish the memories of the time spent together. David was preceded in death by his mother, Nora F. Sneathern, and brother, Darrel B. Sneathern, both of whom he held dearly in his heart. Relatives and friends of the family attended a Visitation followed by a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expy., in Harvey, La. The family requested that everyone 'dress down and be as comfortable as possible' as David never liked dressy clothes and loved his jeans and t-shirts! He loved David's legacy will continue to live on through the love shared among his family and friends, many of whom he touched with his kindness and enthusiasm for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Interment: Private.
